So excited!

I just had to share with everyone how happy I am that Tim and Jenn are going to be here tomorrow! I haven't seen them since I left last July (8 months can you believe it?) and I'm sure it's going to be a really good time. Going to try and not pack their days too full - but Thursday night definitely taking them on top of the Fernsehturm, and also going to the East Side Gallery. They arrive tomorrow while I am at work, so I will see them when I get home - which will be nice for them and get a chance to rest up before the craziness begins.

I went to the ITB (International Travel Boerse) today as part of work and picked up a lot of brochures on where to possibly go during my two weeks off in July. I am thinking the following; Greece, Venice, Ibiza, Majorca, or Portugal. I guess I have some thinking to do, but the main thing is I want to have is some warm water, sun and a beach! There's something intoxicating about all those travel brochures with the clear blue water and white sand. I get all warm and fuzzy when I think about it. All I can think about is some sand in my toes, the sun in my face, and the sound of the waves crashing up against the shore while I sip on something cold and rub in tanning oil. Ahhhhh......only a couple of months.

At the ITB, all the halls were divided by country. What I found funny was the following, the country stands all grouped together - seemed to be little cultural bubbles on their own. The Greek pavilion, everyone was sitting around at small tables sucking down coffee, chain smoking and yelling at each other. The German pavilion was filled with free beer, pretzels and smelled like wurst and the India pavilion was filled with the same people you see on the advertising materials - brightly dressed, smiling and laughing.

I jetted out early and headed home, finally got a chance to get a haircut and I must say I am really happy and impressed with the job she did!
