This was a wonderful dinner spot that I went to over the weekend. Recommended and attended with a work colleague, I was extremely impressed with the menu.

Was told it's supposed to be the best pizza in Hamburg, and from what I saw on the other tables I could definitely see that. Large wood block full of stone oven pizza that looked like something out of a gourmet magazine.

Alas, I did not go for the pizza but instead the 200g steak with the au gratin potatoes. The potato choices alone were the most difficult part! Friend got the fries and have to say they are one of the best french fries I've ever had. Everyone split the "Blumenkohl" appetizer from the Tagesmenu (my first time trying it) and was told (even thought I didn't care for it) that it was well made.

Ended the meal with some Amaretto and their homemade white and dark chocolate with almonds, extraordinary! Very nice wine selection, service was personable and helpful.

Decor was simple, yet kitchy enough to be hip without trying to hard.

Note: Definitely make a reservation if you plan to go, the place is PACKED very quickly!
