La Fortuna - Hotels & Holidays - Hostels
This is by far one of the better hostels I've stayed at in my hosteling career. If you want to make a reservation here, have patience, confirm, confirm again and then confirm again for good measure, each time making sure to be very specific about what accomodations you've booked. We rented a private room with bathroom, which turned into two nights in a room with bathroom (AC broken both nights) and then a private room, shared bathroom.
Luckily, the rest of the facilities were really nice, good food and nice common area - so it didn't hamper things too much. Rooms were clean and staff was super friendly, I can definiitely recommend it if you are checking out Arenal. The rafting tour they organize through the hostel is great and also very recommendable.
