BOise - Eating & Drinking - Pubs & Bars - Pubs - Microbreweries
Note: This is in Pocatello, Idaho - not Boise! Qype needs US map rights :(
Their Krystal Weizen is quite possibly the best I have ever had, this coming from someone who lived in Germany. It's a perfect beer, I could have drank just 6 of those for dinner and would have been just as content. Also tried their Pilsner, good, but not as impressive. It was a week ago, but still thinking about that Krystal Weizen...so good!
Their menu was a tad confusing with no real theme, but definitely a selection from large salads, pasta, sandwiches and pizza. In my adventurous way I tried the bun/pork/german thing which I have to say was pretty bland. Put some marinara on it and that seemed to help. Colleague's lasagne looked and tasted amazing. Folks at the table across the way having sandwiches looked pretty content.
Definitely a spot to check out if you find yourself in the area, little out of the way - so you have to drive there - and unfortunately not overdo it unless you have someone with you that hates beer.
Check out my review of Portneuf Valley Brewing - I am superchristine - on Qype
