As are many things in my life, there is a lot I would like to say, and a lot of things I resist saying, things I shouldn't say, and things I'm too chicken to say. One thing I will say though, is this band has been at the top of my list for the past month. Generally, I shy away from the Indie category but this group is a little pearl in an ocean of Indie crap that sounds all the same (hilarious, coming from a electronic music fan). Each song on their album "Ocacular Spectacular" is refreshing, new, different - yet draws from other musical tidbits such as the Zepplin extended guitar to the high-pitched voices of the Bee Gees. The use of synth and live band is blended without jip or skip, sound effects masterfully integrated into a core of rock goodness.
My personal favorite is Electric Feel which gets me through everything from waiting for the bus to the highly personal, yet entertaining dancing by myself in the living room. Not to be left out is the song Time to Pretend which for some reason resonates with me every time I hear it to start off the album. A nice finish like a sherry after a steak, the last song below will leave a delicious taste in your mouth.
