Qype: Treasure Island Beach in Tampa

I can not explain enough how much I love the beach and coming here just reinforces that notion that I do, in fact, belong on a beach and should probably just build a hut on one and call it a day. But, as I need to go through my daily life and can't live on one, I try to visit as much as possible. This is a true "Florida" beach with little seashells all around with fine grain sand and a blazingly hot sun to match the incredible sunsets.

I spent two days at this fine stretch of land and really enjoyed my time here. Given, I was there during low-season (see: incredibly hot and humid, but coming from Chicago I was happier than a schoolgirl) and it wasn't crowded at all - mostly locals and didn't really see any tourists. If you are looking for a side getaway while in Florida, I can definitely recommend this spot for a frugal yet nice getaway!

Note: Beach house bathrooms close at 5:00, hit up the Waffle House across the street if you really gotta go after that time.
