Chicago
I followed James here from Joseph Michael's and of course, love James' work and his EXCELLENT skills at styling and cutting hair. The man is a genius. I also have gone in for waxing and a massage. Both wax experiences have been really good (hate to admit, better than the person I was going to for years). The massage was so-so, which I'll explain in item #2.
Couple of things...
1. If you change the person providing the services to your clients, call them to let them know. My masseuse was changed to a women (I prefer men because my back is a giant knot and need man hands) and no one called to tell me they had changed my preference. If I had know, I would have rescheduled. Instead I was put on the spot when I arrived.
2. Remind your clients that tips are only done in CASH. I have never been told when making an appointment that tips are done in cash. I don't care if you want to pocket that, but just let people know when they call. I still owe people tips for next time I come because I wasn't prepared.
The location is great though if you work downtown and live north, right by red/brown and many bus intersections. Again, I just followed my stylist and have yet to be convinced on their other services.
