Qype: Egg Haven Pancakes Cafe in Chicago

Chicago - Eating & Drinking - Restaurants - American

- THIS IS IN DEKALB, IL NOT CHICAGO -

Breakfast fare is at it's best in this hometown spot. Every single time I've come here it's consistently been one of the better breakfasts I've had. I'm a huge fan of their spinach/feta/tomato omlette. The portion sizes here are huge, and if you can find someone to split it with you along with a fruit place -- it makes for an amazing breakfast that won't break your waistline.

But, if you are looking for the belly busting egg, bacon, cheese, gravy train express...this is the place to go. They don't hold back on their servings, service is fast and friendly and even on a Sunday morning the wait time is not too painful (compared to some 3+ hour wait at swanky places in the city.) I recommend their fresh squeezed juice as well!

Hint: Call ahead to put your name on their waiting list and when you get there, you're bumped up to the top.
