Qype: Haymarket Pub & Brewery in Chicago

Chicago - Eating & Drinking - Pubs & Bars - Pubs - Microbreweries

Gathered up some friends to check it out for an after-work drinks and food thing. Was able to get a reservation pretty easily and they put us in the back room (which, when we arrived was completely empty and felt kind of odd, eventually filled up.)

First thing that struck me was our server was really helpful and friendly, recommending his favorite things on the menu and beer recommendations. We opted for the Black and Bleu Pizza (white style) and it was pretty delicious.

Friends ordered the sausage sampler. It seemed like a sampler should be more than three pieces, but again I didn't eat any and shouldn't judge I guess. Thown on the side was a French roll, not super impressed with the presentation there.

Of course, the beers were tasty and I really liked that you can order in three different sizes! Must be due to the high alcohol content on some of those puppies, but at the same time I'm not complaining if I can get my Pilser in a 20 oz glass.
