In high school (a long, long time ago) I did the mile and 800 relay and always did well and loved long distance running. I've recently gotten back into the gym (recent as in the past three months) and have been working the most I can remember in quite a long time. As a push to myself, I've decided to sign up for a 5K on April 25. Granted, to all of those out there with running experience - it may not seem like much (a little under 4 miles). But, to someone like me who usually maxes out at a mile I'm really excited at the prospect of finishing this without stopping. As it is today, I can go 1.5 miles without a break and I'm pushing myself each time - running now about 3 times a week. Cautiously but with the drive to accomplish this. Baby steps, wish me luck.
