Qype: Si Como No in San Jose

San Jose

NOTE: The resort is in Quepos, Costa Rica which is just north of Manuel Antonio State Park. Qype didn't recognize the city.

You sometimes see places on TV where everyone is happy at the pool, the rainforest mountains are in the background, fruity rum beverage, a view of the ocean is in the background...I'm pretty sure every one of those commericals is filmed at this place. Set in the hillside above Manuel Antonio State Park, this place is above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The rooms have a "jungle" or "ocean" view, both nice and the rooms are extremely comfortable, great beds and balconies.

Two restaurants, one more more formal than the other, but both delicious. Food excellently prepared and extremely fresh! I recommend both, breakfast that is included is a great spread. Plenty of choices to appease the international crown that visits.

Everything in this place, apart from the hotel rooms is open-air. Walkways through think jungle foliage takes you to the different parts of the hotel and very pleasant.

A great things about this place was the two pools - "Family" and "Adult" pools so if you don't feel like watching little Jimmy do cannonballs on your vacation, you don't have to. Of course, you spend most of your time at the beach - but it's a nice alternative if you're too fried to be in the sun for a day.

Perfectamundo.
