Qype: Barba Roja in San Jose

San Jose

The ridiculous thing about Manuel Antonio, is that every evening when it's time for cocktails and dinner the biggest question is, "Where do we go for sunset tonight?"

This place was the first choice for my mom in the 80's when it was just a hut in the hills. Now, it's a full blown restaurant with quite possibly the most incredible view I've encountered in my quarter-century life. The meals are asian costa rican fusion for a decent price, drink list is top-notch and the French Canadian waiter that was subject to our party was a saint. Sushi looked delicious, but stuck with the fish and shrimp dishes and not disappointed once.

Get there around 5:30 to get yourself a good spot to see the most incredible sunset of your life.
