Dallas - Hotels & Holidays - Hotels - 3 Star Hotels
I'm not sure why everyone has given this place such a hard time? Then again:
1) If was the first time I had been to Dallas.
2) I was exhausted from a trade show all day and could have slept on a park bench.
3) Any place where the sheets aren't questionable is okay with me.
I wasn't exactly impressed with the place, but wasn't disappointed either. The rooms were nicely done, spacious and had a decent view of the city (okay, well, not the Chicago version of a city...but city-ish). The bed was extremely comfortable (again, see point #2 above) and any service provided was prompt and courteous.
Don't fall for the $21 breakfast buffet, it's a rip-off. If you really must get breakfast at the hotel, there's a meal off the menu for $15 that has all the stuff in the buffet. And really, do you need three trips up there for muffins? Even better, hit up the Starbucks next door and save even more cash.
Location, meh, all of Dallas seemed to be a little barren to me and there's not much in the downtown anyways. I was just a trade show grunt for a couple days and didn't do much as it was.
