Qype: Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Chicago

Chicago

I'm a big fan of the no-frills Chicago steak house and this place definitely fit the bill for me. I was really shocked at how incredibly loud the downstairs area was, probably the cavernous bar doesn't help with any sort of sound muffling. Happily went to our table upstairs, and early in the evening was quiet and classy.

Ordered one of their specials, which that night happened to be a filet mignon with poached lobster and asparagus spears. The sides are really enough to share between 2-3 people and we went for the green beans with almonds and raisins and garlic mashed potatoes. Both so rich they could make meals in themselves! Colleague had the filet and it was his first time trying and "American" steak, believe me he was blown away. Meat was super tender, flavorful and prepared just right.

Overall a great experience and would go back again!
