Qype: Wilde Bar & Restaurant in Chicago

Chicago

Comfort food at it's finest. Quite possibly the BEST macaroni and cheese I have ever had in my entire life. There is really absolutely no where else in this would I would rather be than with a big corningware of that in front of me. Besides the best mac n' cheese in the world, they also have a great menu that's varied enough you can take anyone here and they'll find something. In just one table, one person had steak, another a large salad and the fourth had grilled fish. All were prepared quite well and service was also prompt.

My only gripe about this place is if you go too late in the evening it starts to fill up with bar-hoppers and the music gets really loud. Which, in my opinion will totally ruin your mac n' cheese experience. Don't try to go during the major holidays...mainly St. Pat's day and keep it to a little earlier in the evening and you should be golden. Nice alternative to the "cheap eats" in the hood and a good sit-down place for an actual meal before going out as opposed to dinner being wrapped in tin foil.
